Duties

CASH AND BANK OPERATION

Prepare cash  bank payments  ensure  requests comply  CARE  donor financial procedures;

Maintain cheque books  cheque registers  ensure  cash  cheque payment vouchers  coded correctly  proper approvals obtained;

Conduct daily cash count, weekly cash reconciliation  ensure  cash advances  acquitted according  CARE’s financial procedures  FINSUN;

Prepare  monthly cash  bank reconciliations  FINSUN  follow up  outstanding advances  payments;

Prepare  cash advance tracker  circulate  all staff  a weekly basis;

Maintain  systematic filing system  Cash  Bank supporting documents  ensure  files  placed  a secure place (to avoid unauthorised access  documents);

Enter  approved expense reports into  cash book journal;

Prepare bank  cash reconciliations  a daily basis;

Prepare accruals  suppliers’ invoices  year end  project end;

Provide documentation  both internal  external auditors  required;

Assist  staff  understand  accurately complete cash  bank procedures;

Ensure  irregularities identified  brought  the attention  the SFO immediately;

Prepare daily update  FINSUN Riel  USD  Country Office  correct coding;

Monitor  balance  cash  hand  in  bank  inform SFO when balance  close  the defined limits;

Ensure  payment voucher  supporting documents  stamped accurately;

Open  close  bank account  required; and

Provide  to finance team  ledger extract  reporting.

Requirements

Minimum technical diploma and/or vocational training  Accounting, Finance  other  fields

Minimum 2  relevant  experience, preferably  an International Non-Government Organisation (INGO) and/or private company;

Demonstrated experience  following standard policies, procedures  processes  ensure  implementation  basic standard transactions;

A willingness  learn about CARE, gender equality  women’s empowerment activities;

Proven ability  manage  acquit  cash advance;

Demonstrated good interpersonal skills, sound judgment, planning, problem solving  team building skills;

Demonstrated organisational  time management  and ability  work under pressure  to organise  manage workload  meet deadlines;

Demonstrated characteristics  honesty, reliability, trustworthiness  the ability  maintain confidentiality;

Demonstrated ability  contributes  group objectives  work effectively  a group setting;

Good communication  in Khmer  good oral  written English; and

Good  Microsoft Office  knowledge  Microsoft Word  Excel  intermediate numeric  (knowledge  FINSUN systems  advantage)
